My Volcano Landscape Art

We Were learning how to apply paint. We learnt two techniques-dragging with cardboard and dabbing 
with a sponge.  Dabbing and dragging created a very good effect for our landscape. You can see that dragging makes the ash clouds and the dabbing makes the grass that part was my favourite.
I like my volcano landscape!

Te Tuhi Art-My Dream House

This is my dream house. I enjoyed making this dream house because we get to make our own dream house. It has some really fun things in my dream house like a slide house room and a art room with all the staff that you need to make something.

I wish my dream house was real! 

Fractions Of A Set

We are learning about unit fractions of a set.

One thing that worked for me was

knowing my basic facts. Because it made it easier to find the answer.

One thing that was tricky for me was

division facts are hard.

My Mathletics Trophy

                                 
Today I earned the mathletics trophy.  I was really really surprised I came first and got the trophy, I was also happy too.  I hope I get the trophy again.  YAY!

I was learning how to use my senses add detail to my writing so that I can make my writing more interesting for my reader.
This writing was easy because I know my five senses and it helped me for my writing.
Something that helped me was the brainstorm for my writing because it gave me more ideas.
Something that was tricky is to use more punctuation because I didn't have many ideas about punctuation.
My next step is to use this skill in my other writing to add detail.

I have been learning to find information in a non-fiction book by skimming and scanning.
Skimming is when we read quickly over a text or book to get an idea of what the book is about.
Scanning is when we look for specific information in a text and we we look for key words or phrases.
I read a book about butterflies. I skimmed and scanned the book for facts about butterflies.
I buddied up with Krupa to compare animals using a Venn Diagram.
I found this easy because the laptop helped me to find lot's of information.
My next step is to find more interesting information about butterflies.
