P.V Partitioning and Rounding and Compensating Strategies

Reflection

I am learning different strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems. I learnt rounding and compensating and place value partitioning. The easiest strategy would be place value partitioning because there is no confusion to place value than rounding and compensating and you can use it with easy numbers too. I prefer both of the strategies because they both helps me to do big addition and subtraction equations. I got stuck on the part where in rounding and compensating the last step when you had added or subtracted either too much or not enough. I enjoyed almost every single activity in this slide show I had lots of fun.
